THE
REGIONAL CHURCH LAND
Regional Church is blessed to own a 95-acre parcel of land,
located between Idabel and Broken Bow, Oklahoma,
off Highway 259.
In 1995 Regional Church began looking for land.
They were blessed to worship in a tent on the home land of Bill and Kim
Herron. But a permanent home was needed.

PURCHASE OF REGIONAL CHURCH
LAND

Soon a 108 acre plot of land was found, located
between Idabel and Broken Bow, just off the main highway. It was owned by a
local businessman, and after some time of discussion, a price was agreed
upon. On March 15, 1996 the Regional Church Board of Directors/Ministry
Council signed the loan papers and land development began! Much thanks is
given to these individuals, who also agreed to guarantee the payment of the
original loan, if needed.

The land had no improvements, not even a road
for entering the property. So, the first order of business was a road. Not
owning any road equipment, it was agreed by the Ministry Council/Board of
Directors that a small portion, 660 feet long and 35 feet wide, would be
sold to McCurtain County, in return for a road! It was a good agreement! No
only did they put in this beautiful road, but they continually maintain it,
year after year.

July, 1996 :: GROUND BREAKING

On its first anniversary, Regional Church had a
Ground Breaking Picnic on the land! It was a glorious day to celebrate!
2001 :: DEBT FREE!
Just five short years later, Regional Church
land was debt free, through the faithful contributions of Regional Church
members and friends.

SALE OF LAND

In the history of every church there is a time
of struggle. Regional Church is no exception. At the end of 2003 many in the
congregation decided to worship in other churches. With the decline came
financial difficulties. In May of 2005 a Board Member was contacted by the same
businessman that had originally sold the land to the church. He was
inquiring about the possibility of purchasing a small portion of land from
the church for a business development. After much prayer and council, it was
decided to sell the land, knowing that Regional would still own 95 acres. It
proved to be a wise decision. The proceeds sustained the church through the
next two years. The land was a divine provision, supplying the financial
needs of the church body.

WORSHIP LOCATION CHANGED

In April of 2007, the Regional Church Board of
Directors made the difficult decision to temporary close the land and move
its worship location, due to the continual high cost of land
maintenance. The congregation would temporarily meet at
Lamplight Theater
in downtown Broken Bow, OK. There remains a
strong belief that God provided Regional Church with 95 acres of land. The
future development plans rest in His hands.

REGIONAL CHURCH PRESENTATIONS

Regional Church has been blessed to host the
Regional Christmas Drive-Thru,
an event
that has drawn thousands.

PRAYER GARDENS AND WALKING PATHS

Several acres of land have been developed for those who want to get
away to a quiet place to be with God.

Regional Prayer Gardens and Walking Paths have a
unique mix of natural foliage.
Native Limestone lines the paths and Spanish
Moss hangs in the trees, with cactus growing at their feet!

During the months of May and June you will find
a flower garden of yellow blossoms on the cactus, and multi-colored natural
wild flowers throughout the Gardens.
